MA Antoine Jover who is an experienced, goal-oriented and cooperative software engineer brought the data-base to a good end after he got the job on 1 December, 2014. Prof. em. Dr. Christian Pfister has invested several thousand hours of voluntary work into Euro-Climhist, for the most part after his retirement from teaching and administration in September 2009. Prof. Dr. Christian Rohr, succeeded Prof. Pfister in 2010 as professor for environmental and climate history at Bern University. He successfully promoted the concerns of Euro-Climhist to the administration and to sponsors. The competent administrative expert Hedy Werthmüller was responsible for the accounting and organizational aspects.

The following people assisted in the completion of the data-base over the last years: lic. phil. Kerstin Brunner, Dr. Chantal Camenisch, Katja Graber, lic. phil. Prof. Dr. Andres Tarand, Tallinn, provided his long series of winter temperatures in Estonia.

Dr. Gregor Zenhäusern, Unterbäch (VS), former manager of the Research Institute for the History of the Alpine Area in Brig (VS) provided the evidence collected in the framework of a Swiss National Science Foundation project „Klimageschichte des Wallis 1500-1864“ (2006-2009).

Prof. Dr. Heinz J. Zumbühl, Institute of Geography, University of Bern, and Dr. Samuel Nussbaumer, Bern provided images of glaciers.

The text of the website was translated by Suzanne Sarah Koch (Payerne), Dr. Corinne Fournier (Bern) and Dr. Laurent Litzenburger (Université de Lorraine, Metz) into French, and by Eveline Dressler (Freiburg im Breisgau) and Silva Cassina-Passardi (Manno, proof-reading) into Italian. The texts were translated by Prof. em. Dr. Christian Pfister and Prof. Dr. Christian Rohr into English; Prof. Dr. Sam White (Ohio State University, Columbus OH) and Dr. des. Alexandra Vlachos (Bern) have style-checked those translations. Dominique Ruffieux (MeteoSwiss, Payerne) reviewed the French translation of the category scheme, whereas Fosco Spinedi (MeteoSwiss, Locarno-Monti) and Dr. Antonio Contino (Università di Palermo) reviewed the translation into Italian.
